Information on the fly

Between RSS feeds, social networking, calendar events and to do lists, it's easy to feel like you can never keep up with what's happening on your computer and online. Zipline makes it simple to keep tabs on all of this information and more by presenting an unobtrusive, scrolling feed of information on the top of your screen, reminiscent of the ticker on 24 hour cable news programs. Even better, Zipline pulls information from plugins, allowing you to limit its feed to only those items you're interested in or even create your very own sources.

Flexible, extendable and customizable

Zipline puts you in charge of your information. Here's a taste of what it can do:

Fonts and Colors
Zipline won't cramp your style — you can adjust its appearance to fit your taste. Got a thing for hot pink Comic Sans? Rock on, brother.

Core Animation Goodness
To ensure great performance, Zipline takes advantage of the latest Apple technologies, such as Core Animation.

Plugin-based Sources
Rather than restrict you to a predefined set of information sources, Zipline allows you to pick and choose where the information it displays comes from. Better still, Zipline allows you and others to create additional sources, offering an even wider range of information.

Keep up with your Calendar
Always forgetting meetings and birthdays? Zipline can hook into iCal and show your upcoming calendar events in its feed, so you'll always know what the future holds...if it's in your calendar.

Tasks and To Dos
Along with calendar events, Zipline also includes a plugin that displays your to do items from Mail or iCal. While it's no substitute for a dedicated task manager, Zipline might just be able to nag you into productivity.

Social Networking
Zipline makes it simple to keep up with your friends on Facebook and Twitter by including plugins that display status messages from either service.

RSS Support
Zipline's RSS plugin allows it to display the contents of any number of RSS feeds — perfect for staying up to date on the latest news from your favorite Web sites.

So much to love...
